Edmund Scientific Releases First Catalog of 2004 - 100 Pages of Classic Science Toys, New Science Products, and (of course) The Drinking Bird
Called "a cornucopia of cool stuff" the Edmund Scientific Catalog has long been a mail order favorite, whether you're a parent looking for the perfect gift for a science-interested kid or a gadget-oriented spouse, or a science hobbyist looking for components you'd be hard pressed to find anywhere else. Or just a science geek looking for the odd and the unusual.
December 4 2003--January 2004 sees the release of the first Edmund Scientifics Catalog of the year. As always the colorful publication contains some of the hottest new science products on the market as well as hundreds of old favorites. This first of the year catalog features over 60 new products.
Known for their eclectic mix, the 2004 "winter" catalog offers everything from binary clocks and digital microscopes to rare earth magnets and miniature motors to water test kits and water rockets and more. In addition, they continue to offer what has become a sort of unofficial mascot for the company "The Drinking Bird".
The recently renovated Edmund Scientific's Scientificsonline web site contains every product found in the catalog as well as special promotions, clearance (cheap science) products, and products that are only available on the web site.
Edmund Scientific started as a basement business in 1941 selling small and inexpensive sets of chipped lenses to experimenters in addition to large quantities of war surplus optics and optical equipment. The company still sells bags of optical components as well as a World War II tank prism.
